Pat Satterfield Honored

Congratulations to Pat Satterfield who was recently inducted in to the National Umpire Hall of Fame.

In addition, the southern baseball field at CSX Park on Regent Drive was named in his honor. Mr. Satterfield has spent 46 years as a coach, umpire, volunteer and fundraiser for Crieve Hall Baseball, which plays at the park.

"I was totally unprepared for this," Satterfield said after being presented with the sign bearing his name that will hang above the field. "I do want to thank the board for letting me be a part of Crieve Hall Baseball for the last 46 years. I've got great memories and it's always been a pleasure."

Satterfield actually called a game on the same day as the dedication ceremony.
