Who We Are

In the summer of 2017, a small group of Overton graduates decided it was time to give back to the community and, more importantly, the school that supported us as children and young adults.

Our first charter membership sign-up event took place in Brentwood. We were so encouraged by the response, we began the journey of establishing what is now the “John Overton HS Alumni Association."

This small group began holding meetings to chart our course. Legal documents were drawn up and filed, the difficult task of obtaining the 501(c)3 designation as a federally recognized nonprofit organization was successfully completed, additional sign-up events took place, fundraising events were held, and a Board of Directors was elected.

We’re very proud of the growth we have experienced in this short time. We look to alumni, students, staff, and anyone interested in supporting the work of this great school to help us define and tackle the challenges our school currently faces. Oh yeah, we plan to have a lot of fun along the way!!!

The Mission of John Overton HS Alumni Association, Inc. is:

To support the activities of the school in delivering a quality education

To foster a supportive relationship with school administrators and teachers

To foster ongoing relationships with Alumni

To preserve the history of the school and its graduates
