Overton Receives Grant to Create a Music Production Studio

John Overton High School was selected to receive the first ever SongFarm Music Technology grant by the Save the Music Foundation. This was in partnership with two Nashville songwriters, Ross Copperman and Nicolle Galyon, two very big names in the country music world today. The grant provides equipment for a music studio in the school as well as the necessary equipment to have a Music Production class. Students will be meeting with Ross and Nicolle on September 23 in a Zoom session where they will get to participate in a Q&A session. The music studio will be available for reservation for teachers as well as students once we transition to in-person learning.
